14 Days / 13 Nights
From my experience, most honeymooners who choose Vietnam for their matrimonial holiday prefer to combine a beach relaxation with sightseeing. If that is your style, our Sweet Honeymoon in Vietnam consists of some classic tour excursions such as a city tour of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, a 2 day, 1 night boat cruise in Ha Long Bay, a half day cooking class in Hoi An town and a full day exploring water life in Mekong Delta. The tour itinerary is also enchanted with a romantic candlelight dinner on a traditional boat on Thu Bon river, Hoi An or an amazing circus art show at Opera House in Saigon. Nha Trang is selected for your beach focus because it hosts the best white sand and clean beaches in Vietnam and features around nine months of free-flowing sunlight! |

Day 2: Hanoi – Orientation (B) In the morning, set out to experience Vietnam’s capital! Visit the Ho Chi Minh memorial complex. The complex is a combination of Ba Dinh spacious square with 240 four-season green grass carpets, the mausoleum where the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh is preserved, his wooden house-on-stilt surrounded by lush garden and fish pond. Within this complex, also is One-pillar Pagoda, an old temple built by the Emperor Ly Thai Tong in 11th century. Keep walking from the Square to Presidential Palace, a yellow big house in French colonial style, a fountain in the front yard and army protected at the gate, and to the twin lakes of West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest temple in Hanoi, dating back to 1500 years ago. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature. Then stroll around the bustling Old Quarter of Hanoi for sightseeing and shopping. The Old Quarter is charming and authentic, intertwined with chaos and bustle. Sample street foods, explore markets and shops, and you’ll want to walk around Hoan Kiem lake for beautiful views at night. Overnight in Hanoi. |
Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay by car – Overnight onboard (B/L/D) After breakfast, take a 3.5 hour drive to Ha Long bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Upon arrival around noon, transfer to a “junk” for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. The cruise passes through the limestone rocks and islets in many unique and funny shapes. Again your dinner is served on board. In the evening, enjoy night fishing (optional), drinks, and overnight on board anchored in a peaceful bay. |

If you want to explore highlights of the area, we would suggest the Institute of Oceanography where various collections of living and non-living marine specimens are displayed, Po Nagar Cham towers built between the 8th to 11th centuries under the rule of Cham Kingdom in the centre of Vietnam, Stone church – not far from Po Nagar Cham tower, a western catholic church built from stone in 1928, Dam Market – the biggest market in town selling all local specialties, XQ Nha Trang – an embroidery club showing Vietnamese embroidery skill and art, Long Son pagoda – a symbol of Buddhism in this area, located on a hill side with amazing scenery. The last stop should be Thap Ba hotspring and mudbath center for refreshment after a hot day. Nha Trang’s countryside is tranquil and unique. Take a traditional wooden boat along Cai River to Nha Trang’s surrounding villages, come closer to local village life and learn about their way of living. You will stop at an ancient traditional house, visit different local families who weave sleeping mats from the rushes (tall, thin grass growing along river bank), make traditional conical hats, incense sticks, or rice noodles and rice papers. Seeing Nha Trang’s countryside by riding a bicycle is also interesting and fun. A day on a local boat to explore Nha Trang’s beautiful islands also attracts a lot of visitors with its interesting and fun activities. The boat will take you to different islands, stop on the way for snorkeling and swimming. Fresh seafood lunch will be served on one of the islands between the visits. If you love adventure rides and Under Water World, Vinpearl Land Amusement Park is the best choice. The park is located on Hon Tre Island, connecting to the mainland by either a cable car system or by a 7 minute speedboat. |
