Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Arrival
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, you are welcomed by our guide and transferred to downtown. Check in to your hotel and relax after a long-haul flight. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels (B)
Morning is free at your leisure! You can stretch your legs with a half day city tour. Walk from your hotel to Saigon Zoo, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum and/or Ben Thanh bustling Market.
In the afternoon, meet our guide and visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, 70 kilometers North West of Ho Chi Minh City, created since 1948 to assist the Viet Minh to combat the French. This is an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapon shops, field hospitals, command centers. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a fire free zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of the tunnels have been open for visitors. Adults and older children can try real gun shooting in Cu Chi with M16, M60 & AK47 rifles. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang by flight (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will drive to the airport for a short flight to Nha Trang. Upon landing at Cam Ranh airport, you’re greeted by our driver and transferred to Nha Trang city. Check in to your hotel and the rest of the day is for swimming in the sea, or relaxing and sunbathing on the beach. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 4 to day 5: Nha Trang – free (B)
Two free days for your beach relaxation in Nha Trang!
Nha Trang features the best beaches in Vietnam with clean white sand and calm waves. You can chill out on the beach, swim, or play water sports. You can spend a half day to explore highlights of the city including the Institute of Oceanography with various collections of living and non-living marine specimens, Po Nagar Cham towers built between the 8th to 11th centuries under the rule of Cham Kingdom in the centre of Vietnam, Stone church – not far from Po Nagar Cham tower, a western catholic church built from stone in 1928, Dam Market – a biggest market in the town selling all local specialties.
Vinpearl Land Amusement Park is a must-see place for families in Nha Trang. The park is located on Hon Tre Island, connecting to the mainland by either a cable car system or 7 minute speedboat. Vinpearl Land Amusement Park is part of a complex including hotels, villas, golf, restaurants etc. If you book your accommodation at Vinpearl hotel or villas on the island, your room rate is inclusive of free entry to the amusement park and your family can play as many games as you want during your stay. If your family loves a peaceful and quiet pace, Vinpearl hotel/resort is not a good choice as it’s always noisy and crowded. My suggestion is to stay at a hotel in the city or at other beaches and just come to this park for adventure rides or Under Water World.
Day 6: Nha Trang – Danang by flight (B)
Say goodbye to Nha Trang and its amazing white sand beaches, you will fly to Danang to explore more wonderful beaches and the beauty of Ancient town of Hoi An. Overnight in Danang.
Day 7: Danang – Hoi An Ancient town & Martial Art (B/L)
After breakfast, you will gather at Ky Son Martial Art Courtyard. Meet the martial master and he will introduce to you to Vietnamese Martial Arts as well as its history. Then you follow your master to learn Martial Arts.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Hoi An town with Vietnamese cuisine.
In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour around Hoi An Ancient Town. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Assembly Hall, and the local market. There are numerous art galleries, souvenirs and tailor shops where you can get some express made-to-order clothes if you like. The next visit is to the home of a craftsman in the old streets. Here you’ll have a brief introduction to the history, shape and color of the lanterns as well as steps of making them. After that you can make a lantern on your own and keep as a souvenir. Overnight in Danang.
Day 8 to day 9: Danang – free (B)
Time is yours to swim, sunbathe, build sand castles or play water sports!
If you want to explore more about Vietnam history, we would suggest a day tour to Hue, the former capital of Vietnam. Explore the Imperial Citadel, one or two King Mausoleums and Thien Mu, the oldest temple in the city. You will travel along the central coast of Vietnam with amazing scenery of sea and mountain. You will return to Danang before dusk for overnight.
If your family loves wildlife, we can arrange an excursion to Son Tra Peninsula with our experienced wildlife guide. Son Tra Peninsula is home to around 530 red-shanked douc langurs, a Vietnamese Redbook endangered primate. To see the langur, you must show up at the Nature Reserve at 5:30am or 15:30. The Son Tra Nature Reserve is also famous for its rich biodiversity with 287 species of animals, 106 species of birds, and 15 rare wild animals under protection.
Day 10: Danang – Hanoi (B)
Today you will leave Danang and board a flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Vietnam’s capital, you’re met by our guide and transferred to downtown. Check in to your hotel and be free for the remainder of the day.
Hanoi is a family-friendly city. Many streets in the Old Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake are blocked for pedestrians only from Friday to Sunday, and many music bands from modern (guitar, violins drums etc) to traditional play around the lake on those nights. Traditional folk games are also set up for passers-by to join in (Bamboo jacks, Mandarin Square Capturing, Stilt walking, Bamboo dancing, Tug of war).
Overnight in Hanoi.

After breakfast, take a 3.5 hour drive to Ha Long bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Upon arrival around noon, transfer to a “junk” for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. The cruise passes through the limestone rocks and islets in many unique and funny shapes. Again your dinner is served on board.
